Back to Blogging

So I'm back! I have been away for a bit from my blog ''Crystal's View From Here'' because of some significant life updates. First, let me thank you all for your continued support. I am so grateful for this community of readers, writers, designers, photographers and all things creative and Fun!
So I became a Mom for the second time, baby number two a boy we named him "Trenton Isaac". It's a boys club so far in my household...Trenton at 8 months is all ready to follow behind his big brother Joshua's every move. I also must tell you that Trenton is the happiest baby I have ever meet, he really has kept us smiling through our move to Miami. Which is the next major update we moved to Miami!
I have to admit it has been quite an up hall effort to get settled in the city, however, our faith, the smiles of children and the beautiful scenery Miami has to offer has kept my husband and I inspired to push to reach our goals here. Keep up to date with my blog through my Instagram   Crystal (@crystalbea27) • Instagram photos and videos

My third and final announcement is that I'm going back to school to finish my Degree! This is the first time I've mentioned this on a social platform not because I'm shy about the subject it's just that returning to school as an adult with two young children in a new city, at least new to my family is a big deal for me. I know now though I am ready to finish what I started. So I'm excited to share what I learn and experience along the way.

Thanks as always for stopping by
Crystal

When I walk into a department store looking for an Easter basket for my child or any child majority of the baskets are filled with candy taped to a cardboard backing and at least one toy. Keep in mind that I'm referring to budget friendly easter baskets the grab and go kind!
Anyway, my Husband and I decided to create our own easter basket last minute. Everything with the basket turned out great. I  Just wanted to share some tips with you.... just in case you ever find yourself shopping the day/afternoon/night before a special day.

1.Have a Plan.
In other words, know what you want to buy. going out to shop on a weekend and the day before a major holiday can be busy and possibly overwhelming,  Make a list keep it short and sweet things go much smoother when you know what items you want, your budget and even selecting a theme for your gift basket can make shopping last minute a breeze.

2. Stay close to Home.
When you drive across town just to catch a deal, time sometimes gets away from you! shopping close to home ties along with your plan to get the best items for the best cost in the least amount of time. the whole point is to get what need and move on. This brings me to my next tip.

3.Have Fun.
The real whole point is to have a great time shopping for your loved ones. There is nothing like a personalized gift on a special day. Yes, these are last minute shopping tips but remember the reason you are going from store to store in the first place.

I hope these tips will help you this Easter... or during any last minute shopping time you may find yourself in.
Happy Easter

What is Style to you?

Three very differently dressed woman sat down at a outside cafe on a cool summer day, When a passer buyer asked ''What is style?

They all looked briefly at their clothes and each other. One woman wore vivid color and print , while another wore gray, the last spoke passionately about what fashion was,and the perceptions people make about you by the clothes you wear.

The question the this stranger was really asking was what was their definitions of style because they were dressed so specifically stylish and different.
Individual Style is the way you  approach putting together an out fit , a statement necklace or blush colored espadrilles for example.
With trends and celebrity come impression and some times pressure to look and dress a certain way. And although Fashion trends and reports are fun its important to give attention to what you enjoy. So this post  is really for that third girl, the one who was so overly expressive of what she believed was "true style" in the line of Fashion, the one we are still left asking "So what was she wearing anyway?"
This answer to that question will unfortunately go unanswered.....But it's okay, because the morale of this story is to "Know the trends but learn to embrace your own individual style code"!

A Few tips to keeping a daily routine

<a href="http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/14401565/?claim=gxep7wn7jv3">Follow my blog with Bloglovin</a>
Routines can be so exact for a creative free spirit like myself, but they can also be very effective when coming into a new role, Like that of a college student, new mom or new business owner for example.

I like to start with what gives me peace and joy. I read encouraging short but sweet messages that affirm who I am and my faith in God. This helps me start my day positively, so I can face whatever the day brings ....I’m  not saying my day goes on without any letdowns or interruptions ....I'm simply saying I handle each hurdle with a better attitude.

Mind over matter is super important to me on those days when I know I have nothing planned. My first thought is "I have nothing to do" when in fact I have plenty that I can work on during this free time. I know having a daily routine helps me to be more flexible when my goals for the day changes because something happens unplanned.

Here are some tips to get you started.

Start with what's most important, save the lightweight stuff for last. Have fun with the plan! if your routine seems to strict there is a good chance you may not stick to it.

Next simplify your list, if you can do without it in your routine than don't! Why overload your responsibilities just because you can...

and Last but not least go for the gold! You have set you goals, now take your time to reach for it and do your best.

Simple Skincare Routine and Gentle Cleansers Reviews

Hello again,
I know it has been a while so for this I apologize....really I have no excuses (imagine my head down) But I know based on the title you know this is a skin care post so lets get into it already

My skincare routine is quite simple because I like it that way. As a busy woman I know the need to prioritize and make the most of my time. So this regimen is on those days I need to go fast. But first lets talk a little about the two featured cleansers: Equate beauty Gentle Skin Cleanser and Cerave Hydration Cleanser.

Equate Beauty Gentle Skin Cleanser, 16 fl ozFirst I start with a gentle moisturizing cleanser, I like to rotate between these two cleansers , The first is Equate beauty Gentle Skin Cleanser you can find this face wash at your local walmart or walmart.com; it's cost depends on where you purchase it from. I purchased my bottle at a "Neighborhood Walmart" priced at $6.74 for a 16oz bottle. The other cleanser is Cerave Hydration Cleanser, I first tried this product through a sample sent to me by mail and upon request, samples are always a good way to try new beauty product before you buy. I know the cost for this face cleanser also varies by the retailer and of course you can get it also on walmart.com for the cost of $7.39.

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser 12oz
Equate beauty is a "Walmart" store brand and even with all the strides made with store produced beauty products and other wise, one can still be taking a chance ...but I guess you are taking a chance on any new product you use for the first time. I want to say this was a good buy. I love the light texture of this facial cleanser and how is leaves my skin feeling like my normal skin. Not like some other cleansers that have left my skin feeling dry, tight and very thirsty for some moisturiser.

Next is Cerave Hydrating Cleanser and I know it's not a gentle cleanser by name but I chose to put this cleanser in my review because it is very gentle on the skin and hydrating at the same time. I appreciate the creamy consistency of this cleanser and I can feel the soft results on my skin after every use.If I had to choose one as best, it would be Cerave Hydrating Cleanser all the way.

First I wet my face with cool water next I add in one of the two cleansers and smooth the cleanser over my face and neck area soon after I use a facial mitten to gently massage the cleanser into me skin ,I rise and repeat if I want to. Just that simple! I follow up with Cerave moisturizing cream or coconut oil. I don't use a toner every time I wash my face but when I do I use apple cider vinegar and rose water, sometimes I use the two together other times I just use one or the other.

Thanks for stopping by,I hope I helped in some way to choose the right cleanser for you.

Ways to stay driven when you have no moral support.

When you are considering doing something no one in your family or inner circle has ever done you may meet some resistance. Sometimes this resistance comes from the mindset that this attempt to do whatever it is you desire to do will fail simply because they(the non-supporters) have  never tried or never knew anyone who succeed in "That Thing" you do.

The Bible says "As a man thinketh so is he" (Psalms 23:7) Keep the dreams you have for yourself close to heart don't let anyone's words change how you see yourself and future,

(Proverbs 18:21)  also says "The power of Life and Death is in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat its fruit” Your mindset makes all the difference in your life keep good thoughts about your life even if your situation does not reflect them.

So consider a visionary board to stay inspired everyday to reach your goals, A dream journal to record your progress, it is a great feeling to see your journey to success in writings in notes on ideas and pictures,

Smile! this action helps you think of happy thoughts and good things( Philippians 4:8),

Meditate on the life you want for your self some people call it day dreaming but who cares ie: don't do this in public settings school work etc lol.

Happy Mother's Day (A few things motherhood taught me)

Happy Mother"s Day everyone I hope you are enjoying your day...whither your Mom or not if you have a mom or a motherly figure than you can appreciate the importance of this day.

Here are a few things motherhood has taught me. .........
1. Love me more! People treat you how you treat you. Show the world you have standard and that's important to who you are..

2. Don't settle! Sometimes life gets really bad but the will to hold on will produce perseverance, so dream big and know your child is taking note of this.

3.Be the example! my life my choices be the peacemaker, always learning and of joyful spirit.

4.One of the most important was when I had my son Joshua. I was told through my faith in the Lord that I had as much to teach him as his father did l. You see i had an common idea that only fathers can truly teach a son how to be a man, but the truth is I have to actively sow the values and beliefs that are important to developing his character.

I hope your Mother's day is filled with joy
